CUTTING SERVICE – CAD & CAM 2D

At AIM, we have an extensive range of cutting and bonding machinery; one of our cutting services is completed using CAM, CAD and CNC. Our team is exceptionally skilled in the use of all three computer-aided processes when it comes to the manufacturing process of insulation.

At AIM, we use a CNC controlled 2-dimensional cutting service, providing additional solutions for unusual construction details. Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) and Computer-aided design (CAD) use software and computer-controlled machinery to automate a manufacturing process. They can be used to design and manufacture prototypes, finished products, and production runs. 2D CAM and CAD are exceptional tools for commercial designers; our team uses computer-aided processes to create innovative materials for many working sectors across the UK.

Our team can produce CAD designs from your design brief or work from files supplied by you. At AIM, we are an insulator converter; we can produce parts and components with extremely high accuracy and detail; we can also complete one-off bespoke projects and large multi-part projects.

Both the manufacturing and construction industry relies heavily on computer-numerical control (CNC) machining. Without this technology, AIM wouldn’t provide the range and quality of products available and they wouldn’t be at a price most of us can afford.

CAM, CAD and CNC generally offer greater speed in producing components and our team uses them both for greater efficiency as computer-controlled machines do not need to take breaks.

At AIM, our team is continually using computer-numerical control (CNC) throughout the products we manufacture. This is because it is efficient and less time-consuming; however, it is generally a safer way to work; it means our team does not come into direct contact with sharp tools or potentially dangerous machinery.
