My First Week at Blue Whale Media

My first week at Blue Whale Media was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I had so much fun and got to meet this absolutely brilliant team. I feel like I’ve pretty much slipped right in and I feel at home with this team.

The Work…

When I first walked in I was given a few warm-up tasks to do that were basic but enough to warm me up, the work since then has been thick and fast and has kept me on my toes. I’m really enjoying the work that has been put forward for me, and I am especially like the route that the company seems to be going down by incorporating my Motion Graphics skills into their web designs.

What have I enjoyed the most?

Personally, I have enjoyed getting to know the team the most enjoying part of the experience. They are all really funny and very welcoming. I feel Lewis, my graphics team partner, has become like my literal left arm and I’m excited to see where our cross knowledge of programmes will take us.

The 5k ‘Fun’ Run…

I still have no idea where the terms ‘fun’ and ‘run’ ever I came into contact but it’s a lie. Running long distance is not my forte. However it was for charity and I have to admit I had fun doing it, running side by side with Sam and almost dying due to the heat and wearing a fluffy Minion costume! It was eventful, to say the least.

Blue Whale Medias First Ever 5-A-Side Football Tournament…

Ironically, when I came for my interview at Blue Whale, I asked Garry whether we had a 5-a-side football team and he said no… Straight after we finished the fun run, we were presented a flyer about a 5-a-side tournament for the start of the World Cup. Obviously, I really wanted to take part and I cannot wait for our first tournament on Friday 15th.

My Final Thoughts…

My final thoughts for my first week here would be that I cannot wait for the future, I’ve had so much fun this week and I really love this team and I cannot wait to be part of bigger things here at Blue Whale!
