My Current Favourite Project I worked on
I have several different tasks that contribute to the process of setting up a website for our clients at Blue Whale Media. However, one project that stands out the most to me is a website we built for a company called Wheeler & Kirk Opticians. On this website in particular I had a bigger contribution than on sites before; I got to work alongside the developer of this website, Kabir. The reason this stands out above the rest is due to the content for the website; this entailed me transferring all the content written by our in-house content witter, Rachel
I used each page’s design PDF to know where each piece of content goes and if any links are to be included. I also contributed to adding all social and contact links, the map embed links as well as the button links. These aren’t typically something I will undertake as I usually contribute to tasks such as back-end site admin, shop set-up, products & categories but I was more than willing to learn and take this on during the project as this was a new skill I could master.
In conclusion, this was a great learning experience for me, and I hope to have more opportunities in the future to do this.
