One Year Working at Blue Whale Media – Ben Smart
I started my role as PA to the Directors on the 24th of May 2021 meaning as of the 24/05/22, I have been working at Blue Whale Media for 1 year. In the past 365 days, I have taken on a variety of exciting responsibilities including but not limited to E-Commerce site products and categories, admin work both for the company itself as well as admin-based duties for client’s sites such as Google Workspace setup. I have also been working alongside the other PAs and the Sales Director to help generate and follow up on new possible leads for the business, general PA tasks, etc…
A big part of working at Blue Whale Media is the importance of the company being a family-owned business with emphasis on everyone being one big team. This has helped me a lot with learning many different aspects of the business and what it takes to have a site go from being a discussion with the client all the way to a live site and everything in between to get to that point.
My future plans whilst remaining at Blue Whale Media include completing my Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship to help me progress further within the company and once completing this moving on to the Level 5 Apprenticeship in Operations/Department Management. Both these learning opportunities provided and funded by Blue Whale Media will give me the skills and knowledge I need to progress into a managerial role as well as give me something to work towards for the following 2/3 years.
