How to Setup a Twitter Page
Twitter is an underutilized social media that businesses are missing out on. By having a business Twitter account, you are making it easier for customers to reach you and find out more about your company. Therefore, they are more likely to use your business.
To set up a business account go to Twitter.com and sign up. You’ll need to input your email address and password. If you do already have an account under that email address you will need a new email to create the new account, as you cant have more than one account under that same email.
After you have done this you need to input your business’ username. This can be changed later so don’t worry if you put it in wrong. Then you need to verify your account by either email or phone number.
Once your account is activated you are given the opportunity to follow other accounts and input your interests. This can also be added later.
Now your account is made it’s time to personalise it so your customers know it’s you. Start by adding your profile picture. This will be the image people see when they search for your business, on posts, or when communicating. Therefore, it should be something that makes your business easily identified to your views. Most businesses use their logos for this. Then choose your header image. This image will be shown at the top of your page. It should be something that captures the essence of your brand and conveys your brand’s personality.
Then you have a small section next to your profile picture to give your audience a bit of information about the company. You have a 140-character limit, for this bio. However, you can also add a linkable website, and your location. This is extremely useful for a business as you are able to make it easy for your customers to find your website and where you are based.
Your business account is now setup and ready to use.
