Shipleys Foodservice Ltd.
Established in 1983, Shipley Food Service Ltd has been supplying the Catering trade with hand-prepared fruit and vegetables for over 38 years.
What We Did.
The team at Blue Whale Media designed a whole new website for Shipley Food Service, the new website has a simple layout, which makes the overall user experience and navigation easy. We have used a colour scheme that is associated with fresh produce, much like what they supply to businesses, this ties in the purpose of their business with the website. The website utilises the full width of the screen size no matter what device the website is viewed on, be that mobile or desktop. We have included header images that are captivating, and stand out against the bold and engaging header text.
For user interaction and engagement we included hover-animations on the homepage to highlight the products section, this section is also clickable and leads to PDFs of products that are available to buy. Our development team have also added unique hover-animation for the Products page, providing more of a description and a button to then be able to navigate to the product PDFs themselves. We have designed a custom mobile menu for smaller mobile devices, keeping in theme with the website’s own design, but adding animations for menu items, this helps to engage the user and ensure that they are able to navigate throughout the site easily.
The new website for Shipleys Foodservice LTD is the perfect solution for the company to really showcase their services and what they have to offer. There have been many new elements implemented into the website but the most standout features have to be the new branding that we have implemented throughout the website. Green colour has been used across the site to enhance the idea of fresh produce.
There are hover-animations used on the homepage and across the product pages. This is to promote user engagement and encourage them to interact with the website more. Resulting in a better chance of a decreased bounce rate.
A custom-coded query is used to implement buttons into each category-section for the products pages. This saves on development time and enables our clients to add as many product sections as they’d like, without needing to implement buttons themselves manually.
The new beautiful look of this website will help to keep users engaged throughout, resulting in more successful enquiries.
