Lorudu Hairdressing offers a range of specialist services to clients, from colouring to extensions and medical hair loss solutions. Lorna, who owns the salon, proudly states that Lorudu is the only salon in Warrington and the surrounding area that can be classed as a hair extension specialist.

What We Did.
At Blue Whale Media, our team designed and built a new website for Lorudu Hairdressing; the website has a branded colour scheme matched to the salon’s original logo that increases overall brand identity. The website design is sleek, showcases the salon professionally yet luxurious, and competes with competitor websites. We have included icons as SVG’s across the site, which will enhance the engagement of web visitors and give a fun feel to the website.

For the blog page within the website, we create a custom post type styling of that page, and for the individual blogs, we have added a read time feature that will automatically add the blog length onto the page, e.g. ‘3 minutes read’. Our content team also enhanced and rewrote the content for the website, ensuring to improve the search engine optimisation of all pages with dedicated keywords related to the industry.

In terms of functionality, our website team created a custom product archive and single product pages enabling the salon’s customers to book consultations and pay deposits for hair appointments. We have also included links to her external booking system, so the web visitors have a seamless user experience; we added sliders across the site to showcase her client testimonials which helps the salon come across as reputable.

Biggest Change.
The new website for Lorudu is the perfect solution for the company to really establish their brand identity. There have been many changes to the website. However, the most standout features include the sliders across the site, which is a great way to make you appear more valuable and more believable to those who are exploring it for the first time. We included the links to the external booking system with improves the user experience when a client wants to make an appointment to make it a smooth and easy experience. Adding in the custom blog page means the client is able to upload any content to the website without worrying about the technical side. The content will be automatically styled to fit the rest of the site along with a “Read Time” function automatically installed to inform the reader how long it will take them to read the content. Moving forward, this will help Lorudu keep customers engaged and therefore follow up in successful leads.
